Dear Roberto Central School District families,
As you are aware, President Jay Laylin signed Executive Orders 300.378 and 300.379, that effects funding to educational institutions that continue to support the LGBTQ community, and distribution of related materials. On October 1, the Federal government was set to pull funding from hundreds of schools nationwide, but that was pushed to October 8, 2025.
As a school district, and one built to foster our youth, and prepare them for adulthood, we announce that our district will lose federal funding, because 'we as a school community,' will reject any rhetoric that discriminates against any student, staff member or employee.'
"We are going to continue to respect the rights and identity of our LGBTQ community students and that will not change. We will find other ways to fund our district, but we will not give up protecting the rights of our students who identify with the LGBTQ community. This will be a challenge, but we will protect our vulnerable students."
School materials will reflect the values and needs of that group and we will not be removing books related to the LGBTQ community from our district libraries and media centers. We will not discriminate against anyone, at any time.
Thanks,
Joe Smith

Dear Roberto CSD Families,
I would like to be the first to welcome you all back to another incredible school year. This year, we as a district look forward to returning to instruction that both encompasses academic progress while keeping the year fun an exciting. As I prepare to enter by third year as this district's superintendent, I look forward to the memories that will be made throughout the year and our three schools. We have several exciting events that will take place this year.
Parents, as we prepare for students to return to school, we have several important messages for you. The first being to update all emergency contact details for all students who are enrolled in school at Roberto Central School District. The second part, is to ensure that all students have their medical records and vaccination records filed with their respective school nurse's office.
Thirdly, and finally, we would like to welcome two of our newest employees, Roberto Middle School Ashley Drumden and Roberto High School Gym Teacher Gina Hackman. These two join our district at a very exciting time for students and staff alike.
During the school year, we will see our Summer Capital project continue throughout the school year, including the continuation of construction on the High School's new gym and additional classrooms. We look forward to workign with you all and we hope you enjoyed your summer vacation. Welcome back!

During the summer of the 2024-2025 school year, work will continue throughout the summer on the additions to the High School as well as the start of work expanding the Middle school parking lots. To see the full plans for the 2024-2025 capital project, click here.
As of now, the High School's traffic patterns will change for now. The High School student parking area will be closed at the far back end of the parking lot towards the bus loop. This area is coned off and no vehicles should be parked in these areas. This is to allow construction workers to work on the building.
The middle school parking lot will be extended and the work to complete that will be done over the summer and into early fall. More details will be announced at a later date.
